If you found yourself swooning over the stunning Oregon Crook Point wedding between “Dancing with the Stars” pro Koko Iwasaki and choreographer Kiki Nyemchek, know you’re not alone.
Koko and Kiki Iwasaki shared their vows in late July in front of 100 guests in a dreamy, forested spot right on the Oregon coastline.
What made this couple choose this particular spot when the world was truly their oyster?
The couple told Brides magazine something that stuck with me because it’s something I’ve shared with couples time and again–they wanted their guests to experience the magic of the Pacific Northwest.
As an Oregon elopement photographer who has captured dreamy coastal elopements exactly where Koko and Kiki got married, I couldn’t agree more. There’s something truly otherworldly about the Oregon coast. And Crook Point is perhaps the best of the best for a captivating space and an intentional, elevated elopement or wedding.
If you find yourself completely captivated by Crook Point–and think it might make it on your list for must-consider wedding locations–this blog was written for you.

This stunning venue is tucked away on the southern coast of Oregon in Pistol River, OR. Almost on the border of northern California.
With secluded beaches, cliffy overlooks, and quiet, remote stretches of the Oregon coastline, Crook Point truly feels like a peek into another world. It’s a beautiful, private spot perfect for destination weddings.
There’s no doubt that the views are what capture your attention–but it’s the amenities that’ll seal the deal. Because Crook Point isn’t just a stretch of pretty beach or a forested cliff. It’s a full venue with multiple places to host your ceremony and reception, as well as lodging rentals with locations in the most scenic places.
Here’s what I think every couple considering an Oregon Coast wedding will adore about Crook Point:

Koko & Kiki’s Crook Point Oregon elopement is getting the attention it deserves. I love to see Oregon coastline gems like Crook Point in the limelight. I fell in love with this spot when one of my elopement couples chose it for their intimate elopement day.
Like Koko & Kiki, Rachel and Jacob also felt the magic of the PNW when they found Crook Point. There was something about the cliffy overlooks, the green ferns, and the forests that felt like something from a storybook–all of it captured their hearts.
They were searching for something special on their elopement day.
They wanted a spot that felt effortlessly beautiful. A place that made them stop and stare but also a place that gave them a calming, grounded feeling.
Visuals mattered–rocky cliffs, Redwood forests, ferns, and meadows.
But the feeling of the place mattered more. They wanted a place that felt wild and aligned with what they loved. Searching for something a little off the beaten path, something that didn’t feel like a traditional venue but was equipped with some of the things a traditional venue would have. They were after a balance of rugged beauty and modern amenities was a must–all without sacrificing the feeling of their day.
When Crook Point came up, it was a perfect match.
Rachel and Jacob had an elevated vision for their day. They wanted it to feel calm–like every moment was unfolding perfectly around them.
For them, that meant a private wedding ceremony among the towering Redwood trees before an Oregon Coast reception. What’s better than a dreamy coastal spot? A dreamy coastal spot that’s just a short drive to the California border (and Redwood groves). Crook Point is exactly that.
Rachel and Jacob explored a stunning Redwood grove, sharing their intimate vows between just the two of them at the foot of a towering Redwood tree. Rachel’s Grace Loves Lace dress trailed behind her, contrasting against the deep green hue of the forest ferns. Her natural pearl jewelry caught and reflected the dappled sunlight through the trees every few steps.
After their private vows, they set out for an intimate picnic along the Oregon coast, just the two of them. They enjoyed a charcuterie picnic, basking in the Oregon summer sun–never too hot, never too cold. Together, they explored the cliffs, embracing every private moment they had together in this beautiful coastal place.
They headed back to the Crook Point venue, where they dined on short rib ragu prepared by a private chef, and signed their marriage license. All before running off to explore a bit more of the Crook Point property.
When the sky started turning into the soft, pastel colors of sunset, Rachel and Jacob played in the waves, skipped rocks, watched deer frolic through the coastal meadows, and soaked in the views from a cliff that overlooked the Pacific Ocean.
Their wedding day at Crook Point was a perfect match for the feelings they were chasing. Intention, intimacy, and peace–all with an unmatched view beyond their wildest dreams.
